  • Available positions include Speaker of the House (1), Student Body President (1), Student Body Vice President (1), Director of Communications (1), Director of Marketing and Events (1), Director of Finance (1), Academic Affairs Committee Chair (1), Buildings and Properties Committee Chair (1), Civic Engagement Committee Chair (1), Student Life Committee Chair (1), Student Organization Committee Chair (1), Senior Senator (15), Junior Senator (15), Pre-Junior Senator (15), Sophomore Senator (15), Visual Lead (1), and Digital Media Manager (1).

  • As outlined in our Campaign Rules & Ethics Acknowledgement (CREA) form, candidates who fail to meet the ethical standards of USGA and/or fail to abide by the University’s Code of Conduct are ineligible to run.

    Also, anyone who has previously been removed from USGA is not able to re-run, unless established otherwise by the Disciplinary Committee that reviewed the case.

    Additional eligibility restrictions (if applicable) are outlined in the USGA Structure, Roles, and Responsibilities document linked above.

  • No! Candidates are prohibited from using USGA’s logo on any campaign and/or personal promotion materials for USGA elections.

  • Student Body President and Student Body Vice President candidates should submit the CREA and application forms.

    Candidates for all other positions should submit the CREA, application, and interview forms, and collect 50 nominations from peers.

  • See above for the linked tracker. The spreadsheet will be updated at least once a day by the Elections Committee, so be sure to check on it to monitor your progress. Timely completion of all the required forms listed above and 50 peer nominations will make you an official candidate. This status will be indicated in the tracker spreadsheet.

  • Student Body President and Student Body Vice President candidates will be voted on externally by the University’s undergraduate student body population. Voting will be conducted through a digital form during the external voting period listed in the timeline above.

    All other candidates will be voted on by current USGA voting members at election nights during the internal voting period listed in the timeline above. Candidates will receive more information from the Elections Committee via email closer to the internal voting period.

  • You will be assigned an election night and a time slot via email. In front of current USGA voting members, you will give your speech (1 minute and 30 seconds max) and participate in a Q&A (2 minutes max). Afterwards, you are free to leave and you can expect to receive an email with the result of your election within 24 hours.

  • All questions should be sent to the Elections Committee at usgaelections@drexel.edu. Current USGA members who are not on the Elections Committee are prohibited from answering candidates’ questions.
